Tucked away down a cobbled mews in historic Smithfield close to Barbican and Farringdon, Le Café du Marché is an authentic and atmospheric French restaurant, run by the same family for over thirty years
Private dining rooms & exclusive restaurant hire at Le Café du Marché
Our upstairs private room, Le Grenier, is a high- ceilinged converted loft-space ideal for private parties, corporate events and wedding celebrations. The room has large windows and characterful oak paneling creating a rustic French atmosphere in the centre of London.
The room is self-contained with its own kitchen, bar and toilets. The space seats up to 50 people for lunch or dinner or 60 people for canapés but is cosy enough to suit smaller groups of 12 and over too.
The whole restaurant can be hired for parties up to 100 people and we have a smaller, semi-private area which can accommodate up to 30 seated.
There is no room hire charge but minimum spend applies.
Our menu features authentic, provincial French cuisine and makes the best fresh and seasonal ingredients from the markets.
The menu is based on a set three-course meal at £49.95 per person. A finger buffet menu is available for larger events at £21.95 per person. Menus can also be adapted to suit the budget and the event. Sample menus are available on request.
You can give your event a special French twist with live music from our resident jazz band.
