Immortalised in The Kinks’ Waterloo Sunset song from 1967, the area is part of the London Borough of Lambeth and has a River Thames frontage which is connected to the Victoria Embankment on the north bank of the river via Waterloo Bridge.
This busy part of London is home to Waterloo railway terminus as well as a number of well known landmarks including the London Eye, the BFI IMAX, The Royal Festival Hall and The Old Vic theatre.
