Renowned for its extensive wine list and artisan cheeses, Vivat Bacchus in Farringdon first opened its doors in 2003, complete with wine cellars and a cheese room.
South African wines are our speciality and several are aged in our cellars before release, but the list also features a wide range of both new and old world wines. The cheese room is home to around 50 different cheeses from around Europe, and the rustic, robust menu is Modern European with the odd exotic meat known to feature amongst a stellar steak selection.
As great wines have been at the heart of Vivat Bacchus’ offering, it was only natural that our private rooms would be wine themed. The three rooms are all named after great wineries, Louis Roederer, Meerlust and Sassicaia, and are all situated adjacent to at least one of our wine cellars.
We can cater for a wide range of functions, client lunches, drinks parties, networking functions and sit-down dinners, from 10 people and over. We also offer private group wine tastings.
The Louis Roederer room benefits from its own private bar, and free wifi and AV equipment is available throughout.
There are also options for splitting the Meerlust room into two separate rooms, and the Sassicaia and Meerlust rooms can be booked together for larger parties wanting two separate areas, for example for a drinks reception followed by sit-down dinner.
