The former home of BBC Worldwide and newest addition to the King’s Venues portfolio this magnificent venue has been extensively renovated mixing iconic and modern features and can now accommodate up to 250 guests indoors and on their two rooftop terraces. Christmas dinner packages start at £75 per person with options to upgrade, create dinner dance events and more.
In the Know: A late licence till 1am is possible with prior arrangement.
Having just opened in Autumn this year, the Science Gallery London next to The Shard by London Bridge is one of London’s newest destination venues. Combining science and art and spanning three floors its inspirational surrounds and modern design can host a wide variety of events. Its studio boasts its own balcony and there are a range of event spaces that are ideal for everything from banquets to cabaret and standing receptions. Christmas packages start at £120 per person and can accommodate events from 100 to 320.
From the team behind super-popular Jones Family Project, this summer JFK brought Shoreditch-chic and more to Belgravia in the new Ecclestone Yard development. With facilities for private events in the Garden Room for up to 35 or 60 as an exclusive hire, it also has a wonderful seasonally decorated courtyard for guests to enjoy. This steak-leaning restaurant caters for the modern guest with creative fish, vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options. Three course Christmas menus cost £34.00 per person Sunday – Tuesday, £38.50 Wednesday – Saturday. There’s also a Meat Feast for £55 and a Family style sharing party menu for £38.50 as well as canapé and drink packages.
Top tip: Book by 31th October for free prosecco on arrival.
This exciting new addition to the Shoreditch hotel scene has a variety of small private rooms for discrete Christmas celebrations and Kaijo – for larger parties of 120 seated or 200 standing. True to the brand their iconic catering will be out in force. Their Christmas menus start at around £45 for the vegetarian three course menu.

This brilliantly central Fuller’s pub is a Grade 1 listed gem by King’s Cross. Five private and semi private dining rooms can host parties from 12 to 120 seated (150 standing). Offering classic hearty gastro pub dishes, two courses for Christmas meals cost £28.95 per person, (3 for £34.95) and they also offer finger and fork buffet menus, free-from and kids’ menus as well as drinks’ packages.
Top Tip: their early bird deal – book for the 3rd, 4th, 10th or 11th December and get a 20% discount.
Just moments from Tower Bridge, The Coal Shed is the first London venue from seasonal, sustainable and grill-centric Brighton restaurateurs (The Coal Shed and The Salt Room). It can host 20 guests in its private room, 50 on the mezzanine level or 100 as exclusive hire. Their Christmas menu options include a Festive Tasting Menu at £45pp for a seasonal three-course meal or the chef’s Festive Feasting Menu at £65pp with seven ‘sharing’ dishes including Fire Roasted Market Fish, Coal Roasted Pork Belly, and Black Angus Prime Rib. Canapé and drink reception menus are also available.
The first floor of this craft beer haven by Monument can seat up to 175 for a standing reception on their mezzanine floor or 150 seated as an exclusive hire. Two course festive menus cost £26.95 per person (3 course £32.95) and this year their Christmas offer includes new canapé and buffet menus as well as mezze boards of meat, charcuterie or fish.
In the Know: With a continually evolving range of craft beers, they can also arrange beer tastings on request to really get the party going.
What can be more atmospheric than a Church at Christmas? Handily, on Commercial Street, Spitalfields Venue Christ Church offers the magnificent and versatile Nave for up to 250 guests with the Crypt available for post dinner entertainment and Hanbury Hall for up to 80 guests to dine. This stunning venue is run by Graysons Venues who create bespoke menus and ensure smooth running of every event. Christmas packages for dining start from £125.00 per person.
This fabulously versatile venue not only boasts an unrivalled central London location but also has unique views of the iconic boating lake and park. With four private rooms hosting from 50 to 220 in the Nuffield Hall (400 standing) it provides a great backdrop for any Christmas celebration. With four festive menu packages to choose from, costs start at £73 per person for a welcome drink, canapés, two course meal and drinks to £96.50 for the ultimate luxury ‘mistletoe’ package.
The flagship Polpo in the heart of Soho has the Campari Room for private parties for up to 32 guests seated (40 standing) but the whole restaurant is also available for exclusive hire, while Polpo Covent Garden offers the Aperol Room for up to 30. Christmas menus for both sites start with the standard package of £33 per person for a sharing style feast, rising to the premium menu for £39 or there’s a CICHÈTI (Venetian snack) menu priced per piece.

The epitome of a Parisienne bistro, Le Boudin Blanc has two intimate private rooms: The cosy and atmospheric Cellar Room for just 16 and Le Petit Salon for 24. The first floor of the restaurant can also be hired exclusively for up to 50 guests. And don’t forget the wine list – boasting over 500 fabulous vintages. Deliciously French three course Christmas menus cost £42.50 or £52.50. Mince pies are £2 each and turkey can be pre-arranged if required.
With several London venues, Boisdale Canary Wharf has fantastic City views and offers four private rooms for parties from 12 to 40 guests. With three Christmas menus available, prices start at £39.50 for three courses on Menu 1, £49.50 for Menu 2 and £58.00 for Menu 3. For parties up to 22 guests, the menu is multi-choice on the night, for larger parties they require pre-chosen or reduced option. The Bishopsgate Boisdale site also has Christmas menus.
Wowing guests for nearly a decade, these former stables host an extravaganza of a cocktail bar and cabaret restaurant in the heart of Covent Garden which can be hired exclusively for 140 seated or 300 for a standing event. Hidden behind an unmarked black door it’s ideal for discrete events where guests can let their hair down at the cocktail bar and enjoy live DJs and dancing alongside uniquely eccentric entertainment. The Christmas menu offers sharing starters and individual mains with prices starting at £58 per person.
Top tip: there’s also the Stage Table – available for parties of over 28.
