A firm favourite for both corporate and social celebrations, The Aperol Bar at the Covent Garden venue is blessed with natural daylight as well as a convivial atmosphere. With space for up to 30 seated in their private room, Christmas menus start at £33 per person, rising to £39 and there is also a Christmas snack menu of cicheti – Venetian snacks – available to order by the piece.

With four private rooms available for hire, B Bakery can host up to 35 guests and is best known for afternoon teas, which make for a delightfully different Christmas party. With two sites in the Covent Garden area, Barrafina Drury Lane has a private room for 24 guests, while Adelaide Street can host up to 32. With specially created feasting menus, starters – para picar – feature a range of their acclaimed tapas with a variable main to be chosen by the party in advance. Prices start at around £40 per person for three courses.

Private rooms range from the Judge’s Court (100), The Barrister’s Court (48), The Judge’s Chamber (40) and The Judge’s Study (12). For Christmas they offer a variety of festive menus, from The Judge’s Menu and the Barrister’s Menu to canapés for standing receptions. Three Christmas courses start at £40, four courses £45, and five courses for £50.
This delightfully buzzy French restaurant has an intimate private dining room for up to 14 guests in the Bistrot a Vin or Cave au Vin for an intimate eight. They offer an authentic French Christmas menu as well as a fabulous wine list of frequently changing 10 whites, 10 reds, 10 sparkling. It’s a great venue for the discerning wine buff, or those who want to just try something new and a little different.
Regularly voted one of the world’s most romantic restaurants and located just moments from the main Covent Garden piazza, Clos Maggiore’s can host up to 23 guests or 30 for standing receptions in its stunning wood-panelled first floor private room. With a lunch and dinner menus available as well as a tasting menu, prices per person are around £50.
The two Vaults at Tuttons can host 18 and 28 guests in beautiful mirrored surrounds. There’s no room hire or minimum spend, parties just choose from the variety of set menus available. Christmas menus include a glass of prosecco and are £42 for a three course lunch or £47 for a 3 course dinner.
With a 360-strong wine list accompanying classic Italian cuisine, The Club Room can seat 32 guests in beautiful deco surrounds. Their Festive menu runs from two courses for £35 or three courses for £39 and there are also other set menu options for the private room.

The classic, the original, the one and only Ivy, it’s always a knockout venue for any kind of party and the stunning art deco features create a fabulous atmosphere, no matter what the time of year, but especially at Christmas. The private dining room seats up to 60 guests, with eight menu options starting at £58 rising to £90. Canapé options are also available.
With space for up to 140 this eccentric theatrical assault on the senses is a wondrous gem that’s sure to wow any partygoer. With cabaret and burlesque, a DJ and dancing after dinner, the pan-Asian cuisine boldly stands up to the flamboyant entertainment. Their new vegan sharing menu is also going down a storm.
