Say ciao to Union Street Café, an urban restaurant by the Gordon Ramsay Group that’s inspired by the casual glamour and laid-back luxe of Italy. Northern Italy, to be precise, with born-and-bred Italian head chef Davide Degiovanni crafting a menu that’s influenced by authentic family recipes and the myriad of Michelin-starred restaurants he’s worked for.
For Union Street Café, that means seasonal, daily-changing dishes packed with as much flavour as they are flair. Open for early-bird lunches and after-work aperitivo hours through to stay-a-while suppers and late-night cocktails, Union Street Café has become the gourmet go-to for both locals and Londoners further afield – whether it’s for a single dish, simple drink or full-scale dinner.
Union Street Café offers an urban East End charm combined with Italian chic; a cool, convivial atmosphere that’s warm, welcoming and well suited for any event occasion.
The open plan layout of the venue makes Union Street Café the ideal space for either business or pleasure with a number of locations within the space to pick from. Alternatively if you wish to take over the whole venue, Union Street Café can accommodate up to 150 guests seated or 200 guests standing and offers the ideal interior to product launches, weddings or any other large celebrations.
Large groups are invited to book the private dining room for a little more privacy: the private room can accommodate up 20 guests seated and 30 guests standing and is fully-equipped with state of the art technology for the all-important business meets.
Mezzanine Area and Gallery Area
The open plan layout of the venue makes Union Street Café the ideal space for large communal group occasions. The upstairs mezzanine that can accommodate up to 40 guests seated, overlooks the main restaurant area from above, offering direct views into the theatre of the kitchen whilst the airy gallery space accommodates up to 25 guests seated across separate tables.
Pre or post-dinner, diners are lured downstairs to the Union Street Bar for cocktails and chatter. Bedecked with the work of local artists, the urban living room sets a stylish scene with low, flattering light and comfortable, sink-into sofas. Go to the bar from 5pm for crunchy tomato bruschetta and melt-in-the-mouth arancini when ordering a signature sip. Cocktails are created by bar manager, Davide Gagliazzo and his expert team, ranging from the Agave Symphony; Olmeca tequila mixed with Mezcal and Limoncello, topped up with homemade strawberry and ginger soda or the Southwark24; Beefeter24, rhubarb Nardini, grapefruit juice and Falernum.
