Located in the heart of Shoreditch, this iconic building houses Mark Hix’s chicken and steak restaurant and art gallery.
Tramshed is a former East End tram-generator building just ten minutes’ walk from Liverpool Street and Old Street, boasting the renowned Cock ‘n’ Bull installation by Damien Hirst. The menu is simple – Chicken or steak.
Swainson House Farm chicken and Glenarm Estate beef are carved at the table and designed to share adding a bit of theatre to your private dining event. As with all Mark Hix restaurants, the feast menus are seasonal showcasing the best of British produce often from small artisanal producers.
Tramshed has three unique private dining spaces all with their own character. The mezzanine offers the best view of the Tramshed, situated at the back of the room and ideal for up to 40 guests seated on long tables.
HIX ART gallery in the basement is open all day every day and also offers an ‘industrial-chic’ event space. With regularly changing exhibitions by emerging artists, your party in HIX ART will always have a different back-drop, ideal for receptions, talks, lunches or dinners.
Mark’s Kitchen Library is the hidden gem of Tramshed. As the name would suggest Mark’s Kitchen Library houses Mark’s impressive personal cookbook collection, alongside artworks and curiosities. Here Mark hosts events, food and drink pairings and collaborative dinners with celebrated chefs. It’s also available for private hire with your own personal chef – a unique chef’s table in Shoreditch for client entertaining or special celebrations.
