Barton House is a beautiful Georgian country house located in the heart of the Oxfordshire countryside.
Having been lovingly restored to its former glory, this home from home now incorporates 9 luxurious double bedrooms, drawing room, dining room, garden room and access to over 12 acres of private gardens.
As a family home, exuding the warmth and character of the Sherry Family, this exclusive hire versatile space is ideal for bespoke Private Events, Corporate Events and Weddings including Private Dining experiences.
Catering for such occasions is led by Executive Chef, Tom Sherry. Having trained under Michelin Star chef Jason Atherton while working for Gordon Ramsey Holdings, Tom has perfected an individualised approach that ensures guests enjoy incredible, innovative dishes using produce fresh from the kitchen garden.
With a passion for seasonal organic produce, Tom designs his Modern British menus and vegetable garden together at the start of each year; ensuring only the freshest ingredients, grown organically and sustainably, are used.
The kitchen garden produces over 60 different types of vegetable, while the orchard brings beautiful apples, pears and quinces.
When sourcing food for new menus, Tom ensures he knows everything about its provenance – using local game from Lockinge and Ardington Estate, Cotswold lamb and Oxfordshire beef. Whether it’s an intimate private dining experience or a larger banquet dinner, Tom works directly with guests to create event menus that reflect their personal style and preferences.
Private Dining experiences can be held in the Dining Room or the Garden Room (or combined into both spaces).
The Dining Room can hold up to 30 for a seated dinner, the Garden Room can hold up to 30 for a seated dinner and so together, up to 60 people can enjoy a seated dinner in the combined space.
