The Aubrey is an eccentric Japanese izakaya that takes guests on a journey of a hungry mind full of innovative Japanese cocktails and flavours.
This unique setting captures the energy of a night out in Ginza yet is set in the heart of Knightsbridge. A labyrinth of individual areas and cosy corners, along with an outstanding 12-seater private dining room, that connects to the 6-seater Omakase Bar.
Cocktails are at the centre of The Aubrey’s offering and Bar Director and cocktail maestro, Pietro Rizzo, carefully crafts signature cocktails, each with a Japanese twist with many showcasing rare and unusual spirits. Behind hidden doors guests will find London’s first ‘by-appointment only’ Omakase Bar for just six guests where Pietro showcases his talent offering a tailor-made surprising cocktail experience.
The food menu focuses on classic Japanese techniques of edomae sushi, tempura and robata offering an interpretation traditional izakaya dishes. A sharing style set menu starting at £85 per person is available for private events and The Aubrey offers an extensive list of wines, sake and cocktails.
Live DJs perform late into the night on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and during the weekend brunches.
The design throughout is exceptional, with walls layered with back-to-back art inspired by the Japonisme movement and Art Nouveau. Velvet, marble and wood set the scene for two bars and plush spaces with warm hues of gold, green, plum, along with ambient lighting welcome guests to a Library, Salon and Curio Lounge, each designed to suit a variety of spaces for every occasion.

The discrete rooms in The Aubrey are available for semi-private hire for groups of 20 to 40 guests and the entire restaurant for exclusive hire for up to 106 guests for a seated dinner or 210 for standing events.
