Kahani is a high-end, luxe restaurant in Chelsea, led by Michelin starred chef Peter Joseph. Using his culinary techniques and the best British produce, Kahani offers delicious sharing plates of contemporary Indian cuisine in a beautiful setting.
Kahani, meaning story was inspired by Peter’s mother – who is a brilliant cook and the family would always exchange stories over dinner. Peter aims to replicate this in his restaurant, welcoming everyone with an approaching sharing menu, as well as tasting menu. This results in the very best Indian food, with a sense of communal dining.
The private dining room at Kahani Restaurant
Located underground, a secret gem just off of Sloane Square, Kahani also caters for private dining in its ‘The Peacock’ dining room. A beautiful, intimate room for up to 14 seated guests, decorated in rich colours and fabrics. The room overlooks the restaurant below, with vibrant velvet curtains for those who wish to have a more private meeting or dinner.
Peter offers his tasting menu (including vegetarian) here as well as the Dawat menu, alongside an extensive wine list.
Some of Peter’s signature dishes include his tandoori grilled broccoli, with honey, nigella seeds and wheat crisps. Other favourites include Somerset lamb chops, chargrilled Scottish scallop with star anise coated with spiced mango thuvayal.
