Lancashire

Lancashire in north-west England borders Cumbria to the north, the metropolitan areas of Manchester and Liverpool to its southern perimeter with North Yorkshire and West Yorkshire to its eastern edge and the Irish Sea at its western edge.

Lancashire is well connected by rail networks as well as the M60, M61 and M66 motorways and is home to Accrington Stanley, one of the oldest football clubs in the world.

Home to the seaside resort of Blackpool, Lancashire has a rich industrial history with towns such as Bolton, Burnley, Preston and Oldham being important towns of the industrial revolution as well as being home to professional football clubs.
