Restaurants & Venues For Large Corporate Dinners And Banquets – Part 1

Are you an event planner in the throes of organising your 2016 events calendar? Do you find yourself searching around for a venue that’s a little bit different, a little bit bigger or a little bit newer?

We’re here to help! Here are our top picks for corporate events and banquets for 2016, neatly broken down into categories for ease of selection but all with that special ‘wow’ factor.

Dedicated Event Spaces

The thought of a banquet always conjures up old school livery hall chic and for this style of dining there’s none finer than Herbert Berger at the Master Innholders Hall for up to 94 seated/ 250 standing, who’s leading the charge to bring haute cuisine onto the menu of these establishments. Similarly One Whitehall Place, with its stunning river views and multiple rooms with capacity for up to 250, features a wood panelled library and stunningly plush décor throughout.

London’s many traditional private clubs are also open for private hire – and their spaces are amazing – and plentiful! The In & Out Club – the old Grade II listed Naval and Military Club is easily missed in its St James’s side street, but has room for up to 180 seated, while over in Mayfair the Argyle Room and roof terrace at No 4 Hamilton Place can seat up to 120. Other options in this genre include Beaufort House in Chelsea (up to 200 seated) and the Great Hall at One Great George St in Westminster (up to 260 seated) which are also both suited to elegantly traditional events such as formal corporate dinners and banquets.

For rooms with a view, if you haven’t yet been, you must! Aqua on level 33 of The Shard has the ‘wow’ factor in spades – with stunning London views and equally exceptional cuisine, exclusive hire is possible for up to 180 seated, while down a couple of floors, the Shangri La hotel’s 31st floor Ren Ballroom can seat up to 100 guests and serves a modern European menu with Asian influences.

Equally impressive views of the Capital’s skyline can be found from the private spaces at both Paramount on Oxford Street and Searcy’s at the Gherkin.

Two more venues that we just couldn’t miss off our list are the stunningly clean and fresh spaces at the River Rooms with three separate areas ideal for City banquets for 80, 180 or 320 seated guests with a modern European menu. And finally last but very much not least, The Brewery on Chiswell Street, has capacity for up to 700 guests and 6 totally versatile spaces that can be used for everything from banquets to parties and launches.
