The Rubens at the Palace

Located in close proximity to Victoria station, The Rubens at the Palace is the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion with family, friends or colleagues with a private dining experience.

From intimate dining to larger affairs, we will create the perfect ambience with a host of personal and thoughtful touches to make the event truly exceptional.

We are licensed to host wedding ceremonies overlooking the Royal Mews of Buckingham Palace in our Palace Lounge, and each of our restaurants and bars are available for private hire, with set and bespoke designed menus.

Van Dyke Suite
Accommodating up to 150 guests for a reception and 70 banquet style, the Van Dyke Suite comprises of the Van Dyke Room and Van Gogh Room, allowing for flexibility when it comes to smaller occasions. The Suite is licensed for weddings.  (The Van Dyke Room can host up to 27 people for banquet or 60 for a reception. The Van Gogh Room has capacity for 18 in banquet style or 50 for a reception).

Rembrandt Suite
The Rembrandt Suite offers abundant natural daylight in a stylish décor. The Suite is ideal for private and corporate events or dinners for up to 80 guests. The Suite is also licensed for weddings.

Rubens Suite
The Rubens Suite comprises of the Rubens Room and the Da Vinci Room. It can accommodate up 50 guests in a reception or 20 people for banquet. (The Rubens Room hosts 15 in theatre layout and 13 in a Boardroom layout / The Da Vinci Room hosts up to 20 guests for receptions)

With two spectacular restaurants, a beautiful lounge overlooking The Royal Mews, three bars and 24-hour room service, The Rubens at the Palace gives diners plenty of choice for every occasion.

The English Grill
Proudly holding two AA Rosettes, The English Grill stands as a beacon of culinary excellence, inviting you to indulge in a symphony of flavours and an ambiance where every detail is a celebration of sophistication. Under the culinary guidance of our talented Executive Chef, Ben Kelliher, the menu unfolds with signature British classics, including expertly grilled steaks perfected in our charcoal-fired Josper Grill and seasonal plant-based delights.

The glass wall overlooking the pass allows guests to witness the culinary artistry, while a skilled waiting team presents selected menu items with a theatrical table-side flourish, adding an element of drama to your dining experience. Our menu is accompanied by an extensive wine list, including a fine selection from Bouchard Finlayson, our vineyard in South Africa, alongside a beautiful Champagne trolley.

The Curry Room
The exquisite Curry Room delivers an Indian restaurant experience that celebrate authentic flavours made with the finest ingredients and exclusively exported spices from  India.

The New York Bar
With its striking red décor, original artwork, and friendly ambiance, The New York Bar at The Rubens blends traditional hospitality with innovative cocktails, gin-tasting experiences, and live music.

The Leopard Bar
Located opposite Buckingham Palace Royal Mews, this sophisticated bar boasts its own private entrance and facilities and is suitable for private events up to 36 guests. It offers a selection of exquisite canapes and finger food, alongside an array of creative cocktails and an extensive drinks menu.

Bridal and baby showers can be hosted in any of the private rooms.
