Designed to cater for intimate events that demand stylish surroundings, creative cooking and distinctive wines, the Grubstreet Author is the fresh upstart, shaking up the London private dining scene.

Private dining events at The Grubstreet Author

The clandestine entrance, through a nondescript black door on a busy London side street, adds excitement and intrigue to your guests’ arrival experience. As they make their way down the striking arrival staircase they will see the stunning interiors of the venue open up to them. The three spaces available are all completely unique which makes exploring the venue all the more exciting.

The Sample Room with its striking copper bar, cocktail furniture, exposed brickwork and urban artworks by local artists is the ideal setting for arrival drinks. It can also be used in conjunction with the Pasteur and Cutting Rooms to host larger standing cocktail receptions, Christmas and private parties.

For dinner, guests move through to the Pasteur Room. There are very few, if any, private dining spaces in London that create such a ‘wow’ moment on entrance. The mixture of raw industrial textures, historical features and playful decorative items provide abundant talking points, and this is all before the food even arrives!
