So romp with us as we take a look at ten of the Capital’s most curious, most remarkable and genuinely unusual venues that are sure to surprise and delight any Christmas party goers this year..

Harry Pottery Warner Bros Studio Tour

One venue that’s guaranteed to bring out the inner child, this Making of Harry Potter-themed night of festivities can include a Christmas dinner in Hogwarts’ Great Hall or on one of the other iconic sets. Packages offer guests an interactive and fun experience, exclusive access to the Studio Tour allowing guests to explore the sets, props and costumes after it closes to visitors for the day. There’s also a DJ and dance floor for after dinner!

Circus

With space for up to 140 this eccentric theatrical assault on the senses is a wondrous gem that’s sure to wow any partygoer. With cabaret and burlesque, a DJ and dancing after dinner, the pan-Asian cuisine boldly stands up to the flamboyant entertainment. Their new vegan sharing menu is also going down a storm. Bounce

There’s a variety of private rooms and Christmas packages at this ping pong-centric venue, for  parties from six to 550 available for afternoon or evening festivities. Food ranges from sharing bites to pizza packages as well as a wide range of craft beers, wines & cocktails. Private rooms are dubbed ‘a party playground’ and rooms include their own bar, three Ping Pong tables, (one an interactive Wonderball table). Ideal for an afternoon or evening party, for groups of 30 up to 200 guests.

In the Know: There’s even a Karaoke system at Farringdon and a selfie pod at Old Street.

The London Cabaret Club

For the more flamboyant party-goers, why not celebrate Christmas at The Bloomsbury Ballroom with the London Cabaret Club. Running from 30 November to 22 December every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday with a Gatsby-inspired 1920’s Christmas show, guests can enjoy a dazzlingly immersive, full-scale festive extravaganza in a glittery magical Winter Wonderland with live performances and luxury dining.  Prices start at £55 per person (Silver) rising to £125 for the Gold package and £195 for the all-singing-all-dancing Diamond package.

Sunborn London

This magnificent yacht-hotel by Canary Wharf features 132 rooms and four suites and provides a truly unique and versatile venue for Christmas parties and festive corporate functions for 10 to 2000 guests. Christmas packages are available from 20 November, starting with the Christmas Classic Package at £85.00pp, the Christmas Deluxe Package at £125.00 pp, as well as Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve options.

Printworks

The Printworks in Canada Water is a new and excitingly adaptable 100,00+ sq ft venue with a capacity of up to 6,000, a 2am licence at weekends and six private events spaces. It offers creative, flexible and inspiring venue as well as providing a blank canvas for events and parties. Venue Lab Limited run the events and have launched their first Christmas packages with a theme of Dystopian dream – where nothing is what it seems. With room for 500 to 1100 for seated events or 500 to 2500 for receptions, this is now one of London’s most exciting large venues. Packages start from £25 for venue only hire, rising to £65 for venue and food with bespoke packages available.

Namco Funscape

With space to host events from 100 to 1200, Namco Funscape has a fantastic location on the South Bank, a huge range of activities and a wide variety of entertainment from techno or boutique bowling lanes, 150 interactive video games, pool tables, ping pong hall, turbo-charged bumper cars, a Vault Laser Maze Challenge and luxurious lounge areas. There’s also DJ and dance-floor facilities for exclusive events, as well as fully licensed bars and plenty of food options. Private Christmas events can be as large or small as required from a club lounge for up to 40 to the whole venue for 1,200 guests. Costs depend on packages required.

Skylight Rooftop

Featuring Europe’s only rooftop ice rink alongside cosy igloos, mountain huts, heated aprés ski skate bars, it’s a fabulous venue for a Christmas party.  Street food is provided by individual providers, including Yiro and – new for this year – Raclette brothers, who are sure to melt the hearts of even the most hardened party goers! Located in Tobacco Dock with stunning city skyline views, private areas can host from 40 in the igloos and sheltered seating areas, to 200 and 250 in the pergola and level nine Snug bar.

Inamo

Inamo offers three playful party venues mixing fun interactive technology with delicious pan-Asian dining in stylish surroundings. There are interactive tables where guests can colour, draw & play games directly on the table surface and there’s a private Games Room in the Soho venue for up to 30 standing or 20 seated, or three stunning pop-up igloos in Camden for intimate parties of eight, furnished with sheepskin rugs, floral decorations, fairy lights, heaters and speaker system. There’s a delicious Festive Tasting Menu available for £42.50pp and additional options including Asian Bellini & prawn crackers reception for £7.50pp, canapés and drinks packages available on request.
