Pub Function Rooms for Christmas Parties in North & North West London

Our old stomping ground – yes between us we have lived in most parts of London! Popping in for a drink just last week The Old Bull & Bush had that warm welcoming glow that comes from the blaze of a real fire, comfy furniture, full bar and menu packed with classic favourites. The semi-private area at the back is ideal for a local get together and they’ll even add a complimentary bottle of prosecco for festive parties of six or more dining between now and 13th December (Ts&Cs apply).

Ramsay’s York & Albany in Camden Town is also a favourite. With the multi-Michelin starred chef behind the operation – if not at the stove – the food is more fine dining than gastro. The Regency building has options for semi-private parties, intimate dinners and is even prepared to turn the bar area into a private room. It’s also home to their attached hotel, for those who don’t want the hassle of making a long journey home.

For individuality, there’s none finer than Paradise by Way of Kensal Green – but don’t let the quirky & eclectic décor disguise the fact that they’re serious about food and partying. They love hosting ‘private dinner parties’ and have dancing every Friday & Saturday night so the party can just go on & on and on…

Finally reopened, St John’s Tavern by Archway has a pared back simple pub feel but the menu offers a mix of great British dishes including a whole roast chicken for sharing alongside a mouth-watering tapas selection. Dishes are seasonal, while December sees the festive menu of 3 courses for £25 (2 Courses £21) per person.

In nearby Highgate, we love the Bull & Last – they really know how to hold a party, their private room is even called the Stag Room! With a relaxed bar, upstairs dining room and options for exclusive take overs, whether the party is a quick nip down the pub with local mates or a bigger bash, this is a cracker – menus change monthly and they also cater canape and champagne menus for the more refined & well-heeled local pub lovers.

Over at St Pancras, The Grade 1 listed Betjeman Arms is a superb example of a convenient gastro pub. Complete with three semi-private areas and two private rooms, it’s ideal for any kind of get together be it work or play-related, and with its location within St Pancras International, it’s the perfect venue to meet up friends coming in by train from different parts of the country.

And we mustn’t forget the Drapers Arms in Islington – this stunning pub adds a level of glamour and elegance to any occasion. Its Christmas menu is £35 per person for three courses and is served ‘family style’ on platters to share – what better way to celebrate with friends and family!
