Fancy a Carnivorous Christmas Bash? Try these great places

Succulent steaks and gourmet meat are decadent foodie treats that are perfect for Christmas festivities and there’s plenty of this genre that also have great spaces for parties.

For meaty treats to really spoil your colleagues try one of these: Corrigan’s in Mayfair with its opulent Lindsay room for up to 30 guests is a firmly British take on steak and Brit-cuisine, while neighbouring Park Lane’s JW Steakhouse  favours the flavours of USDA beef (although top west London butcher’s Macken Brothers butchers supply their other meats). La Tagliata does it the Italian way with its eponymous dish of strips of rare beef on a bed of rocket and a small selection of other freshly made dishes on offer – at £24 for a two course lunch it’s great for steak on a budget & has already scooped a diners’ choice award for ‘Best value restaurant in the City of London‘ (Open Table).

Another great (semi-private) space is the Butchers Block at Maze Grill for up to 14 – where you and your team can help the chefs cook the steaks as well as enjoy mouth-wateringly good meat feasts. Festive menus start at £50 for four courses at the Grill.

We wouldn’t be doing our job if we didn’t mention Tramshed – our favourite spot is the balcony overlooking the main restaurant with oodles of chicken and/or steak from £50pp– what’s not to like? There are three feasting menus available for parties over 21 guests.

Meanwhile, Boisdales – with its fabulously Scottish leanings – means steaks and oysters are often the order of the day, while the nightly live music is always an added bonus for both ambience and entertainment.
