Hibiscus

Claude Bosi opened the original Hibiscus restaurant in Ludlow In 2000 where he won two Michelin stars within four years. Hibiscus relocated to Mayfair in 2007 and has retained its reputation for cuisine of the highest order with the restaurant retaining its two Michelin stars. The Square, Mayfair

The Square is an iconic two Michelin starred restaurant in the heart of Mayfair. The flagship restaurant of chef patron Phil Howard, it is used in equal measure by local businesses as for social dinners and celebrations. Ametsa, Belgravia

The Halkin hotel’s restaurant, Ametsa’s claim to fame is not only that it’s part of the super-luxury Como hotel group but that it is now under the culinary direction of legendary chef Elena Arzak, who has changed the restaurant and private room from an Oriental style (formerly Nahm) to Spanish Basque cooking – and earned a Michelin star in the process. Ametsa’s private room is understated with clean lines and can seat up to 24 or 40 standing. The white and terracotta – coloured décor (from spices hanging in test tubes no less) and stunning views onto lush private gardens, all give the room a decidedly Modern Mediterranean feel – a blank canvas that works well for both celebrations and corporate events. Group set menus start at £80 and don’t forget to ask about the Sangria – a favourite of local Belgravia residents and house speciality.

HKK Restaurant, The City

The latest restaurant from top international Chinese fine dining restaurateurs, Hakkasan, HKK’s private dining room seats up to 14 guests on a rectangular shaped Chef’s table with direct views into the kitchen and Peking duck oven. Dinner guests can enjoy more privacy with hand painted Chinese sliding doors adding to the atmosphere. Michelin star cuisine comes from Hakkasan’s first and original Michelin-starred head chef Tong Chee Hwee in the traditional Chinese banqueting style. There are a range of set and tasting menus available as well as bespoke menus upon request.

Maze, Mayfair

Gordon Ramsay’s Maze restaurant is one of the most popular restaurants in his Michelin-studded culinary stable. With two types of offer within its many private rooms, there’s a Michelin-starred side as well as a more informal grill option ensuring guests can enjoy some of the capital’s finest dining or best steaks and grills. On the Michelin-starred side, Maze View is a subtly feminine room for up to 12 guests with views of the main kitchen, while the Grey Goose Vodka-inspired Kitchen Table opposite the pass allows up to seven guests to really feel the buzz of the kitchen at first hand and enjoy a bespoke eight course tasting menu (£120pp). Away from the main restaurant three further private rooms The Dalby, Hampton and Somerton Rooms can enjoy bespoke menus for up to 40 guests.

Following in the footsteps of Eric Chavot amongst others, Outlaw’s at the Capital carries on the hotel’s tradition for two Michelin starred dining. Set within the sumptuously elegant Knightsbridge hotel that frequently hosts royalty amongst other A-listers, the restaurant has two private areas ideal for elegant dinners as much as business lunches: the Eton Suite and the Cadogan Suite for up to 24 guests.
