Aubaine – Marylebone.

The most recent opening in this small but growing group of French restaurants, boulangerie and patisserie, Aubaine Marylebone, has an enviable location just behind the High Street.

Aubaine’s private dining room, up a flight of stylish wrought metal stairs, is full of Parisian ambiance, complementing the restaurant’s relaxed French brasserie genre and is a mix between not-so-shabby French chic and warm urban industrial styles.

These influences come together to create a beautifully modern yet warm private space that’s versatile and flexible and available for breakfast, lunch, brunch, tea and dinner. It’s as perfect for a wedding reception, as for a product launch or networking event, and with its white clothed tables, French regency style padded chairs, Farrow and Ball style green sideboards and French grey walls, stripped wooden floors and white exposed steels, it’s also a great venue for birthday celebrations and engagement parties as well as working lunches, corporate dinners and as a meeting space.

Aubaine’s private room is also available for children’s parties with kids menu’s starting at £12.50 for dishes such as freshly made chicken goujons and frites and afternoon teas – which start at £28 for two.

The main wow factor of the private room is its double height windows and extension. The restaurant itself is situated on the corner of a unique space in London, an empty square plot that’s not yet been developed into houses or apartments but is all still at ground level – used as a carpark and weekly farmers market. This means that Aubaine and its first floor private room enjoy a great sense of space, not to mention the striking views from the double height windows and ambiance that is added to by a sunny spring day or the London street lights and surrounding architecture at night.

The L-shaped room is incredibly flexible. It can be used for up to 80 guests seated, with pre-dinner drinks and receptions able to be held downstairs at the back of the main restaurant, or up to 40 guests seated with the reception also held in the private room. Standing receptions can be held for 30 – 80 guests, while 20 is the minimum number for a private event.

There’s no room hire, but minimum spend starts at £750 depending on time and date of event.

Menus start at £32 per person for three courses and a pre-ordered choice is available on request. A four course menu for £45 is also available. Canapés start at £2.50 each, with bespoke menus created for each event.

All dishes are French brasserie style using fresh seasonal produce and use Aubaine’s own bakery for all bread and patisserie – which is made fresh each day and then delivered to each restaurant.
