Overview

Zaika quite literally translates as “sophisticated flavours”, a fact not lost on Head Chef/Patron, Sanjay Dwivedi.

His belief in the use of the very best of seasonal British produce and of sourcing the best possible ingredients offers his guests a menu that delivers a greater intensity of flavour.  This, combined with a subtle use of Indian spices - which he roasts and grinds daily to maximise their potency - has resulted in a myriad of dishes imparting unique and refined tastes in Zaika’s light and modern Indian menu.

He says, “I like to create recipes that are not overpowered by the spices. I use them only as a catalyst so they are still true to the main components of the dish.”

Ideally located across from Kensington Gardens with views into Hyde Park, Zaika’s sumptious and rich interior cleverly evokes the era of India’s colonial period, whilst still retaining the carved stonework, wood panelling and double height windows of its Grade 1 listed building.

The main restaurant seats up to 82 guests and is available for private bookings by appointment, whilst the Bedouin style cocktail bar can host private drinks parties for up to 25.
