Overview
The legendary Groucho Club in Soho has private dining rooms available for events; and with refurbished dining rooms and bedrooms, there has never been a better time to book….
The Groucho Club was opened in 1985. Open to men and women, its original membership was drawn from the publishing world, but has expanded over the years to include all creative fields of the media and arts.
Although primarily a private members' club, we also offer various rooms for events.
Celebrating its silver anniversary in 2010, The Groucho Club has been a Soho favourite for birthday celebrations, private dinners, launches and wedding receptions for 25 years.
Whatever the occasion, it has never been a better time to book- with newly refurbished bedrooms and dining rooms, tempting canapés and delectable dinner menus.
Head Chef Richard O’Connell has created delicious canapés, 3 course menus and business lunches to suit your every requirement.
Peter McCombie MW has overseen our wine list whilst Bar Manager Jeff Connon has a fabulous cocktail list which he changes seasonally.
Our dedicated Events Team are here to assist with every step of your event, contact Thamsin or Demis for advice on what The Groucho Club can offer you.

By reserving a room at The Groucho Club in Soho you’ll join the members only elite with your temporary membership. And who wouldn’t want to be a member as you melt into this enchanting world? Spectacular, cutting-edge artwork adorns each and every wall. From light installations to taxidermy, your eye is constantly drawn to the fantastic pieces around you. Artist and curator Nicky Carter picks out the best of modern works and clearly has a finger on the pulse.
The private dining Mary-Lou room can be booked for any time and any day and is dominated by an attractive feature wall by Ian Davenport. The Gennaro room is classic with pale cream walls and curved wooden panels and the Mackintosh is a lovely space more suited to corporate events.
