Overview
Paternoster Chop House offers a unique structure, Sir Christopher Wren’s Temple Bar, for your private dining experience.
Whether it’s a business meeting designed to impress or an all important closing dinner Temple Bar is a venue fit for a king. Featuring Head Chef Bruce Wilson’s feasting menus, our aim is to offer you a bespoke style of service unrivalled by any other London establishment, showcasing the best of British seasonal produce. Our team work closely with suppliers to ensure that only the finest, sustainable ingredients are sourced for our traditional dishes.
Steeped in sumptuous history, this dining chamber is an ideal venue to entertain your guests.
The earliest Temple Bar was merely a turnpike from 1293, badly damaged during the Peasants' Revolt in 1381. Ruined once again in 1666 by the Great Fire of London, King Charles II commissioned Sir Christopher Wren to rebuild, and the fine arch of Portland stone was constructed between 1669 and 1672.
The space can seat up to 13 people for an intimate meal or up to 25 people for a standing reception, boasting natural light & views of St Paul’s Cathedral to the south & the modern Paternoster Square to the north.
