Overview

Come out of Tottenham Court Road station and look straight up. You’re looking at the Centre Point building and on the 33rd floor is a unique viewing gallery complete with jaw-dropping 360˚ sights of London. This is Paramount, right in the heart of Soho. You may just be surprised that you’ve walked past its doors so many times.

On entering, you have your own private reception and a separate lift to the heights of Paramount. Arriving at the 32nd floor you’ll be met by welcoming staff and a splendid copper cubist bar. The entire venue has been designed by furniture specialist and former head of design for Habitat Tom Dixon. His vision is inspired by the revival of British heritage and the emphasis on retro style works wonderfully at this Soho venue.

For pre-dinner drinks, you’ll be whisked up to the viewing gallery on level 33. Given the central location of this building it’s a perfect spot from where to enjoy exclusive panoramic views of the glorious capital. Words will fail you; this is the vista that all Londonites dream of. Rolling on to the horizon, you will be thrilled by the clear and unlimited sightseeing potential. By all means if you can, book for the magic hour of sunset and you’ll find it all the more enchanting.

The viewing gallery has a classic eighties-esque décor scheme; a green carpet, funky black leather chairs and padded wire stools. Huge flower displays spill from vases. The floor to ceiling windows let the remarkable sights do all the talking and you’ll be oohing and aahing along with your guests on walking in. The entire space can be booked out for private groups up to 60 and indeed, you’ll be following the suit of several VIPs in doing so.

Paramount’s private dining room is the Red Room and has a blast from the past New York feel. The backdrop is an aerial view of the city. The seating is uniquely crafted by Dixon in red wool. The walls are black and copper with a bold triangle motif. The light fixtures are rows of shiny coppery domes that bounce light beautifully. With a luxurious fusion menu, the cuisine is as likely to liven your taste buds as the design is to excite your eyes. Easily accommodating up to 30 diners, it’s a cool, unusual and highly attractive space that once again celebrates those magnificent views.

If it’s a much larger event you’re after but you don’t want to compromise on the wow factor, then the larger event space on the 31st floor, caters for up to 450 standing or 150 seated. It has large windows that once again overlook the lovely London landscape. The bold creativity of Tom Dixon and a luxurious palate of deep hues give the space drama packed full to the rafters.

Paramount is the home of frequent marriage proposals and you can see how this place would hook any romantic. With a feeling of freedom to roam, striking décor and of course, the simply stunning and unique sights, you have every reason to savour each moment of your experience at this venue. Enjoy!
