Overview

Kettner’s was first opened as a restaurant by Auguste Kettner, (chef to Napoleon III) in 1867. Gorgeously glamorous, Kettner’s today boasts a Brasserie, Cocktail and Champagne Bar and seven Private Rooms. With a brand new management team, a fresh lease of life has been injected into this legendary Soho venue.

Kettner’s elegant Brasserie serves Modern European dishes all day with a range of menus to suit all occasions. Live music from Tuesday to Saturday on a white grand piano sets the evening ambience. The Cocktail and Champagne Bar has huge a range of champagnes and an array of seasonal cocktails.

Kettner’s seven private rooms include two showcase spaces; The Apartment and The Salle De Fête, which suit groups up to 160 people as well a variety of smaller rooms which are perfect for meetings and private dining.

The Apartment has a colourful history and a members club feel with a secret entrance on Greek Street. It was where Edward VII entertained his mistress Lillie Langtry and during Oscar Wilde’s thee year residence he was arrested there many times! The space draws inspiration from a French film director’s lair with wooden panelled walls, comfy ‘casting’ couches, a bespoke drinks cabinet and a grand piano. The space is perfect for parties and can be used for a seated dinner or a drinks party with a band or DJ.

The Salle De Fête has an elegant penthouse feel on the second floor at the top of our house. It comprises three open spaces of The Salle, The Attic Bar and The Den. It’s a perfect for any large gathering where a free flow of space is required. The light and airy rooms are hugely adaptable and can be styled in a variety of ways.

Kettner’s four other Private Dining Rooms have been lovingly restored and given a fresh twist. Each room has an elegant feel and are all multi-purpose.

Let Kettner’s house be your home, whatever the occasion, we aim to entice, delight and entertain.

Insider View

As you go up the spiral stairs from the main Kettners restaurant, you immediately know that you are about to enter a world without the troubles and pressures of everyday London life.

The private dining rooms at Kettners offer an oasis of calm in the heart of Soho with refreshing colour schemes, white wooden seating, oval tables and homely fireplaces.

The outstanding range of rooms in this venue means that dining here is at the diners’ discretion. Guests may want to retire to the ‘Den’ for post-dinner cards, pay a visit to the cocktail bar in the ‘Apartment’ or relax to their own music wired up to the system in the ethereal drawing room style ‘Salon’. Your visit to Kettners will be your visit.
