Overview

Located in the area known as The Mount, close to historic York's city centre, Hotel du Vin York is a unique luxury boutique hotel set in a beautiful grade II listed building that dates back to the early 19th century.

Formerly a private home, orphanage and most recently the Shepherd Homes building, the hotel houses 44 stylish bedrooms and exquisite suites complemented by pristine beds luxurious Egyptian linen.

The hotel is also home to our trademark Hotel Du Vin Bistro serving a sumptuous menu of modern European cuisine, a generously stocked Bar and private dining rooms, along with a courtyard for alfresco dining during the warmer months.

Function Rooms

Balfour is a stunning airy room has retained many of its original features such as its fireplace, wooden floorboards and stately Georgian windows, allowing the room to flood with natural daylight. Add to this the impressive mural of a hedonistic Roman feast and maybe you might feel inspired to have your own feast too. Balfour can accommodate a maximum of 30 people.

The Ouse, like Balfour, also has floor to ceiling Georgian windows but has its own unique feel and provides a truly outstanding setting for your business, this can accommodate a maximum of 30 people.

A relaxed and informal lounge bar with comfortable sofas and chairs. Perfect for a break out room during the day and cocktail events by night.

Courtyard
A beautiful courtyard to the heart of the hotel, perfect for meeting recesses and drinks receptions.
